Yuva Parliament Offers Live Debate But Old Horses Make it Democratic Rebates

Live and open debate is the first pre-condition of a healthy democracy, but to organize this in India is tough job. Today in Chandigarh Young under banner of Yuva Parliament have tried to do this at government museum auditorium in Sector 10, Chandigarh.

I entered into hall after many pulls and bulls, as venue was circled by supporters of Congress, BJP and BSP.

The dais was occupied by Congress Party Candidate, Pawan Kumar Bansal, BJP candidate Satya pal Jain, BSP’s Harmohan Dhawan and Ajay Goyal, an Independent.

Even the attempt by Chandigarh based young was recommendable but all good work done by them turned futile when youth agenda and options for them was sideline by three candidates belonging to three national parties, as most of them they either tried to show their achievements.

An alone candidate, who really had come to speak on only youth issue with solution driven approach was , an independent , Ajay Goyal, who with his first sentence of his introduction steal the show , when he asked to fix retirement age in Indian politics to provide options for generation next to try their lucks in political arena.

The show started well but first round of the degeneration begun as questions were asked to full fill the political motives in disguise of audience by political workers of political parities.

The BJP and Congress candidates openly questioned the affiliation of questioners while answering their replies after that show inverted into real political drama in non political forum, where BJP candidate Satya pal Jain who had maximum numbers of his supporters in audiences, which was strictly regulated by organizers.

Only this behavior of them made this noble show at the end political show when BJP’s Satyapal Jain waved news papers cutting to down play Congress candidate Pawn Bansal.

Where as BSP candidate Harmohan Dhawan marked his presence, all three candidates belonging to national parties just came with their past records with any precise future agenda for youth of city beautiful.

Again here Ajay Goyal, an independent also remained at advantage position, who not only addressed youth issue but expressed precise grass root level application agenda for Chandigarh and added many fans fare in youth attending the live open debate.

Why every debate in Indian democracy ends in political drama, when our political leaders will understand the hard work done by progressive citizens like “Yuva Parliament” and behave like our representatives not our masters?

Chandigarh, city beautiful, a first dream taken by Independent India has chance to teach Indian Democracy a sensible lesson But today we have lost the chance.

But the good started by generation next of Chandigarh should be carry forwarded so that hope always remains alive for change in India in general and Chandigarh in specific.

Star News Channel Loses Many Stars by Kaun Banega Pradhan Mantri in Chandigarh

Two pillars of India democracy, Politics and Media Joined in City beautiful at Lake club lawn on Thursday evening to make joke of world largest democracy.

I really felt ashamed that I have witnessed the whole through my naked eyes in a Programme, “Kaun Banega Pradhan Mantri” by Star News, An Indian Hindi News Channel.

I went to spot as I am researching and working of democratic process of City beautiful, Chandigarh in ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2009 from day first, but after reaching on the avenue, I was first to reach at 7 PM where as it was started, better to say ordered to take off after it was well managed to favor a particular party candidate.

The atmosphere at spot of event was like a political rally, which was sponsored by Star News in the name of who will be the next Prime Minister of India.

All three candidates of national parties were invited by Hindi news channel to attend live debate which was always dead debate because presenters of news channel were more interested some else motive than to know who will be next Prime Minister of India , which was the tag line of its programme.

The event was so badly managed that in most of time ruled by supporters BSP party, who were in out numbers than else.

One thing worried me as a citizen of Chandigarh that presence of bouncers or musclemen in this media organized event and poorly guarded by Chandigarh police.

Feeling the generating heat, I left my seat in audience and took aerial seat as body language expert to gaze the mockery of Indian democracy in Hands of Indian media in the name of professionally dead programme named “Kaun Banega Pradhan Mantri.” Title.

If such a open and ugly Media tamasha in the name of Prime Minister of India is being allowed than integrity and prestige of PM India will surely at losing end, which I request election commission of India to look into seriously.

At last one thing happened when an independent candidate, Ajay Goyal, who was sitting in front row and watching the whole process not only openly blamed star news journalists about their biased usage of Media to felicitate a particular candidate and not given him a chance.

The Congress, whose candidate, Pawan Kumar Bansal had decided not to attend and BJP’s Satya Pal Jain also shared similar views on the utility such political sponsored media events to enhanced the application of true democracy in India.

Last not the least, Today’s experience of India media playing in hands of Politicians has forced me to redefine the definition of four pillars of Indian democracy, and inspired me to do some research, weather such sponsored pillars can benefit Indian citizens some where.

May God Save my City, My India from these Tumbling pillars???

Why Education in Indian Elections?

I attended Citizens’ Open Forum on Education on Friday as organizer in Chandigarh. As pressure of planning to organize copy book style event was in my mind.

I along with my Team, who works under Citizen Research Foundation aegis on Citizens related issues extended invitations to all who always express their anger over decorating situation in education in my city Chandigarh.

Here one thing I want to share that Citizen Research Foundation had invited all Candidates, who are contesting elections from Chandigarh Parliamentary constituency, like Congress Pawan Kumar Bnasal, BJP’s Satyapal Jain, and BSP Harmohan Dhawan, RJD Hafiz and independent Ajay Goyal.

It is really matter of Shame to City beautiful that only two out of all, BJP Satyapal Jain and Independent Candidate Ajay Goyal had came to attend the open forum on education.

The in sensitiveness of Indian politicians towards real social issues like education, health and poverty clearly shows that dichotomy in political character of Indian democracy. It clearly means that medicine for else disease is given to Indian democratic patients (Indian Voters) in the name and dream of all praise democracy by the people and for the people.

Above was the situation with Indian Politicians, now I want to share the most unethical behavior of Indian media, who pretends to run after any news like mad dog and tries to perform autopsy of cat and dogs of celebrities on one side and conduct hefty debate on studio debate on issues as raised by Citizen Research Foundation, Education.

Even I on behalf of CRF and as Research Journalist in personally extended invitation to all media personals by emails and some by invitation cards, sorry to write that none of them had come to cover event of societal importance.

With this type of irresponsible behavior of two pillars of Indian democracy , I could not see the future of world largest democracy with present pillars, so we should try to replace these pillars with new foundation stones so that our democracy do not needs any pillars but always equal participation.

Last not the least I do see some ray of hope in Indian politicians like BJP’s Candidate Satyapal Jain and Ajay Goyal who have courage to come out open to face every queries of citizens in public domains.

I will say to both of them good luck and pray for rest of all, who did not find time to attend open debate on education , that some day mother Saraswati( Goodness of wisdom) will enlighten these politicians to guide them how to serve citizens.

Chandigarh Elections 2009: Representatives without Democratic Beauty

On Sunday, I was on my cut off day from my routine working, as I have to concentrate on my Researches on Monday on wards, so did seminar and all free patrolling of Chandigarh with my old friends of my school.

During my free patrolling of Chandigarh, I came to knew that, city beautiful is not responding to Indian democracy as it has in cases of infrastructural, comer's and educational has shown.

As, I am well aware about on going elections for Indian Lok sabha on the corners, rest of Indian cities are well painted and motivated by Indian festival of democracy,(I usually call), as in festival every body wants to take joy out of festival in their own ways, like that democratic elections in India are similar to all Indian festivals like diwali,Holi, Id, etc. but difference is in duration of festival.

But my City beautiful is not taking part in this more than month long Indian democracy festival, That stunned me.

Question came to my mind, that without much participation of Chandigarh sectoral population in democratic elections, are person representing City beautiful truly represents Chandigarh?

Ajay Goyal Apart Body Language May Draw Hope

I got Invitation from a young foreign based Mr Ajay Goyal, film financier and media owner by profession, who is contesting Parliamentary Elections from Chandigarh at Chandigarh Pres club.

I attended the press conference, one thing which attracted me as body language expert that body wave of Goyal was not shaky; it is of unique constant wave length that substantiates his motive to enter into politics.

Authority over new ideas on national and international issue put him in extra bracket from ordinarily Indian Democratic leader.

I am going to keep watch on his democratic actions during his trail to face or fight the Indian Democratic elections from My Home city Chandigarh in Lok Sabha 2009.

Why Afraid of Live debate My Dear Indian Democratic leaders?

India is going face or rather fight for democracy in couple of week latter, the all official and unofficial exercises have been started to get maximum out of minimum from already drying pond of Indian democracy.

Open debate is the most powerful and decent tool of any democracy, which I think is missing character from India Demo- crazy (Democracy), where all participants especially political leaders who only try to demonstrate their side only, and not willing to hear from other side.

Live debate on democracy and its all important issues effecting citizens to society and vice versa are not seen any where from day first of Indian democracy, first due to over exposure of charismatic political leadership, where people could not understood the values of their democratic right means vote and use in matter of faith on these leaders like Nehru, Indira Gandhi etc.

After wards came the 1977, when Indian voters tried to change the situation but result again become zero, but after come the times of regional charismatic leaders like Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Yadav, Mayawati, shard pawar etc who not only killed the debate issue at all levels because their charisma are based on but castes, religion and religion not personal thus buried the tradition of open debate in Indian democracy.
BJP Leader L K Advani Challenged Prime Minster Man Mohan Singh for Debate.

I was at pain , when I read the news BJP Leader L K Advani has put Challenged Prime Minster Man Mohan Singh for Live Debate because as Indian researcher on Parliamentary issues, I know the poor records of both Leaders in Indian parliament during debates on national and international in parliament.

As per my political understanding by Challenging Prime Minster Man Mohan Singh or Sonia Gandhi he was eying not on live debate issue but his trail to establish himself as alternate of former.

My humble suggestion to Advani Ji is why live debate with Man Mohan Singh or Sonia Gandhi, Why not with Indian voters???

R K Anand Tries to Come out from BMW Sting Net

New Delhi (ABC Live): Supreme Court of India on Tuesday showed concern over increasing trend of conduct sting operations by Indian media.

In a case filed by infamous Senior Advocate R K Anand through his counsel Aftab Ahmed about a sting operation by a new channel on him which showed him and public prosecutor I U Khan offering money to main witness to change his statement in favor of Anand’s client, the main accused in BMW hit and run case, Sanjeev Nanda.

While expressing his observation during hearing of the case by three three-member bench comprising Justices B N Aggrawal, Justice Aftab Alam and Justice G S Singhvi one of these justice Singhvi said he felt that the media sting virtually convicted individuals in the eyes of the public even before they were brought to actual judicial trial and also infringe right and liberty of an individual.

If we will not think upon these ongoing media sting "Tomorrow you could be there. It could be one of us (judges) also," said Justice G S Singhvi. Further Learned Justice has also observed, "In your case (Anand) public conviction was already there."

It is to mention that on May 31 last year Delhi High Court had taken suo motu cognizance of a private news channel’s sting operation showing Anand, in collusion with Khan offering money to a main witness in BMW hit and run case and has debarred the duo from appearing in high court and lower courts for four months in September 2008.

It has recommended that they be stripped of their designation of senior advocate. Now with his petition in Supreme Court of India Anand has tried to take sympathy of all those who thrill if their truth come in front of public on one day by these media strings and ask banning them in the name of individual’s right and liberty.

My Views:

I was shocked by SC justice Singhvi remark on Anand's sting operation that media exposure through sting had made public presumption against him.

On this I want to ask question from our legal fraternity that, Is Indian Judiciary do justice looking into public presumption before any decision? if yes than these media sting may infringe in justice delivery system of India and not than it may help investigating agencies like supporting clues as they get by Narco test, lie detection tests etc.

Just afraid from these because some day it might be their turn, I think is not appropriate observation from learned judge keeping in mind the role played by senior advocates in question in the interest of free, fair and fast justice concept.

Last not the least the I request my journalists fraternity over usage of media sting operation, it should be avoided and used as last not first option as journalists' tools.
